It is with great honor that we share the news that, Open Doors founder, Anne van der Bijl, or popularly known as Brother Andrew has gone home to be with the Lord.

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” -Psalm 116:15

He passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27 just after 2 p.m. at his home in Hardervijk, Netherlands. His passing is a great loss to Open Doors, yet today we celebrate the life he lived and are grateful for his powerful legacy. His life of prayer continues to impact the lives of generations, including those from the persecuted church. He was a real champion of faith and he finished the race set before him with great excellence. Well done good and faithful servant, Brother Andrew!
