How Your Support Changes Lives

We go where others cannot or will not go—and we stay.

For 70 years, Open Doors has operated on a simple but revolutionary principle: when your family is suffering, you don't just send help from a distance. You show up. You stay. You build relationships that last decades, not just until the crisis passes. This is what makes Open Doors different. While others provide aid or advocacy alone, we provide presence—the faithful, long-term relationships that transform both the helper and the helped. Through our global network in over 70 countries, you're not just supporting distant strangers; you're connecting with brothers and sisters who become part of your spiritual family.

Our model isn't about charity. It's about kinship. It's about living out the biblical truth that “when one part of the body suffers, every part suffers with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26). Through Open Doors, you join a global movement where faith strengthens faith, where your prayers cross oceans and where hope multiplies in the darkest places.

What it looks like: Open Doors works in more than 70 countries, supplying Bibles, training church leaders, providing practical support and emergency relief, and supporting Christians who suffer persecution and discrimination for their faith. Our national bases in 25 countries work to raise awareness of global persecution, mobilizing prayer, support, and action among Christians!

Raising awareness and encouraging prayer

“Our prayers can go where we cannot.” Brother Andrew, founder of Open Doors. Across the world, we mobilize prayer support for Christians suffering persecution and discrimination for their faith. We encourage the global Church to stand with them in prayer so that they know they are not alone.
