Open Doors US

Welcome!

You recently joined a group of our most dependable supporters who have put a stake in the ground to protect and advance the gospel in the world’s most difficult places to follow Jesus.

In the world today, more than 365 million Christians face harassment, violent attacks, false imprisonment, rape and death threats. Your faithful support brings these believers Bibles, training, emergency aid, legal counsel, trauma care and more. So that their churches—even the ones forced underground—can survive and thrive to share the good news of Jesus.

Without the support and prayers of Christians like you, we could never carry out this complicated work of going into volatile and hostile regions. So we’ve compiled a few resources to help us get to know each other.

As a member of this growing community, you’ll receive:

  • A bi-monthly newsletter with updates about persecuted Christians.
  • A bi-monthly prayer calendar you can use each day to pray specifically for believers facing persecution.
  • Special invitations to online briefings and open devotionals with our staff team, plus select guests, including persecuted believers and our partners serving Christians in hostile regions.
  1. Join our private Facebook group for our most dependable supporters. We ask that you do not share this link with others, as we use it to provide a place for our most invested partners to access our team and get to know the ministry on a deeper “behind-the-scenes” level. We will also use it to notify you of updates about breaking persecution stories and to share prayer requests related to our work, both in the U.S. office and in the field.
  2. Open your emails with “Open Doors Insiders” in the subject line. We’ll be sending you special invitations to online briefings, virtual gatherings, Q & A’s and open devotional times to interact with our team and persecuted believers. Attendance is optional (of course), but we want to give you the opportunity to get to know the persecuted and this ministry at a deeper level.
  3. Pray through our Prayer Calendar. Every two months, we’ll mail you a daily prayer calendar to help you pray for specific challenges facing persecuted believers. You can also find it on our website at https://www.opendoorsus.org/en-US/getinvolved/pray/
  4. Be Inspired by their stories. We pray that as you engage with your persecuted family, your faith grows exponentially. As you bless them, we believe their stories will, in turn, bless and inspire you.

Christians in the free world tell us they’re sometimes lulled into a kind of apathy where their faith is expressed primarily in showing up for church or occasional prayers. The stories of the persecuted challenge us as American believers, inspiring us to go deeper in our faith. They also prepare us for when God may call us to stand for Him in our own country. In fact, some of us find that after connecting to the persecuted, our lives and faith are never quite the same again. You can find the latest stories here: https://www.opendoorsus.org/en-US/stories/
